A very easy to make chocolate cake mix. Devil's food cakes are rich, moist chocolate layer cakes typically finished with chocolate icing. Easy and chocolatey. Serves 12.

Sugar, Wheat Flour, Fat-Reduced Cocoa Powder (5%), Palm Fat, Salt, Corn Starch, Flour Treatment Agent (Ascorbic Acid)

Preparation and Usage

  • Just add
  • Eggs, oil, water, icing
  • All you need is:
  • 40ml vegetable oil, 75ml water and 1 medium egg
  • OR 80g melted butter and 2 medium eggs.
  • 20cmx20cm lightly greased square baking tin.
  • Prep time 10 mins
  • Baking time 20-25 mins
  • 3 simple steps!
  • Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C for fan assisted ovens). For cupcakes use fan assisted oven 160°C.
  • Grease tin or preferably line base with baking parchment or greaseproof paper. 
  • 1. Stir brownie mix, water, oil (or butter) and egg(s), in a medium bowl until well blended (mixture may be lumpy).
  • 2. Spread evenly into the baking tin.
  • 3. Bake 20-25 minutes or until a rounded knife inserted in 5cm from edge of tin comes out almost clean. Cool and cut into 16 pieces (or 12 for larger brownies) before serving.
